Shipment is so fast they sent a wrong model ebike

Shipping was incredibly fast, but unfortunately the wrong e-bike model was delivered. I received a W2A instead of the W4B folding e-bike that I ordered. I am hopeful the issue will be resolved just as quickly as my credit card was charged.I have already sent an email, text messages, and spoken with customer service regarding the error. I remain optimistic that they will promptly send the correct W4B model that I purchased and update the effective date of the product protection plan to align with the delivery date of the replacement e-bike.

I bought the model F2

I bought the model F2. It even has an assembly video. Only had to connect the front wheel and handle bar and a few easy items. The ride was great and with the battery out it’s easy to put on the truck. Love my WindHorse F2

Customer service at wind horse factory is like

Customer service at Windhorse factory is like no other. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I needed a small part replaced, and they stuck with me through the whole process. They are easily available by email and text and not only that, they will talk to you in the middle of the night. I got my exact part and it fits perfectly. Thank you Windhorse Factory!

Okay so here is my review of the W4A folding ebike

Okay so here is my review of the W4A folding ebike. I am a daily bicycle commuter, 10 miles average every day. I will say that the bike feels solid, well built frame, with nice solid welds. The cable routing looks nice and clean, at least as clean as it can for exterior routed cables. Everything works as it should except for a few very minor problems, but any new bike is going to have these issues no matter how much you pay, andIthink for this price Wind Horse did a fine job. With that said, do plan on tinkering with the rear derailleur and disk brakes. Brand new steel cables do stretch, so this is a necessary maintenance routine, if you don't know how to adjust these, you need to learn or pay a bike shop. Only other negative is that I don't feel the battery lasts as long as it should.I'm only getting about ten miles on throttle only, and this is on flat ground. Everything else, A+. Plenty of torque and speed. I get back and forth comfortably. It is a very good entry level ebike. Just wish the battery lasted longer.

My honest review

My honest review of the Windhorse F2 eBike. At age 68 my wife and I were looking for ways to be outdoors and more active. We talked about ebike for a couple years and was recently were able to test ride a neighbors ebike. First we decided what our needs were. 1. leg through access 2. no fat tire 3. not super heavy 4. standard 26” wheel ebike (we’re old school) 5. good reviews 6. priced so if stolen we wouldn’t loose financially. Windhorse F2 eBike met all these criteria and we liked the grey color. For the Windhorse F2 we give it 5 Stars.

The bikes came packaged very nicely and we received our two bikes in 7 days. Assembly was easy and took about an hour from taking out of box to putting air in the tires. First battery charge took a few hours and we were off riding. It does take a couple short rides to educate yourself with the new experience of an eBike and I suggest first to ride the eBike in “0” mode no pedal assist to get the feel of the ebikes weight and handling characteristics. Then start with mode “1”. It won’t take long with these Windhorse F2 ebikes and you will be out enjoying the ride.

I also want to thank Windhorse customer service as I have emailed several times with questions and received very quick responses from Kaye at Windhorse. Very helpful and courteous. So for customer service 5 Stars

You will see in my photos that I added a couple features to my bike a pair of vintage Honda motorcycle saddle bags from the 1970’s and rear camera display for ebikes from Amazon. And don’t forget your helmets.

I would like to come back in 3 months and add a follow up review after a summer of riding.

Ride safe!

Our son loved it!

The bike is packaged well and very easy to assemble. In fact, assembly is only a couple of steps. It has good speed and the battery life has been great. Takes about 4-5 hours to charge fully. Definitely worth purchasing and the kids loves it!

It’s almost a 5 star

I would give it a 5 start rating, however one thing is the rear basket is small I mean only a gallon jug will fit in it so it’s not super practical, personally I would prefer a rear rack option but that’s just me and what would work better for my situation. Also it doesn’t go through puddles very stably. I did wreck while door dashing after going through a small puddle. I’m not sure if it was my error or the bike but it slid in the bike lane causing me to wreck. other than that it has been a great bike and it’s super convenient to commute in town, and it’s light weight so I can lift it over curbs and bring it inside to store it. It’s also been therapeutic to ride around and see the beauty of my town.

Headlight beam pattern is wide, good for unlit trailheads

Ride to trailheads before sunrise sometimes and the spread of light is wide enough that I'm not missing things off to the side.

Worth the jump up from the standard V8 for my longer rides

Compared it against the base model in store and the extra range genuinely matters once you're doing 20+ mile loops regularly.

K
Kenji Ferreira
Climbs my street's steepest section without downshifting to lowest gear

Compared to my old analog bike where I'd have to grind up in first gear, this handles it in a middle gear with assist.

Brakes bite hard right out of the box, no bedding-in weirdness

Was ready for the usual squishy first-week brake feel but they were confident and progressive from the very first ride.

Battery pull-tab makes overnight indoor charging simple

I bring just the battery inside instead of the whole bike and it's a genuinely easy routine now that I'm used to it.

Torque feels stronger than the wattage number suggests

Expected modest hill performance given the motor spec but it pulls harder than I anticipated on my neighborhood's steeper streets.

Y

Suspension soaked up a rutted fire road better than I expected

Took a rougher trail than usual on a whim and the front end handled the washboard sections without beating up my hands.

Fenders keep road spray off my back way better than my old bike

Ride through a lot of puddly streets after storms and I no longer show up with a wet stripe up my back.

Feels planted going downhill, no speed wobble

Live near a fairly steep descent and was nervous the first time, but it stays composed well past what I'd consider a nervous speed on my old bike.

Derailleur needed a small barrel adjustment after the first week

Pretty normal for cable stretch on a new bike, took five minutes to dial in myself once I found a video showing how.

Comfortable enough for my 45-minute one-way commute

Was worried about the saddle on longer rides but I don't get sore even after the full trip each way.

Dual keys are a nice touch for two-person households

My wife and I each keep our own key so neither of us has to hunt for the spare before heading out.

Assist reset display glitch happened once after a firmware update

Screen froze on one assist level for a ride, support walked me through a quick reset over chat that fixed it in minutes.

Around 45 miles on throttle and up to 70 with pedal-assist and the Shimano gears. Real range depends on rider weight, terrain, assist level and tire pressure.

Yes. Despite its 20-inch fat tires and long range, the W4A folds at the frame and handlebar to fit in a car trunk, closet or entryway.

The Shimano 7-speed drivetrain lets you pedal easily up hills or push harder on the flats — extending your range and making long rides less tiring.

Yes. The 48V/15.6Ah battery lifts out with an anti-theft lock, so you can charge it indoors and secure it when you park.

Every W4A comes with a 1-year warranty on frame, motor and battery, plus a 30-day return window so you can ride it risk-free.
